Rexing V1P: A Comprehensive Review

When it comes to installing a dashcam, I always like to plug everything in first to ensure that all of the cameras are working properly before proceeding with the real installation. Depending on the type of car and your level of experience or comfort with running cables and hiding them under trim, I would estimate an installation time of around 30-45 minutes.

Although I'm not an expert when it comes to installing dashcams (I've only done two installations myself), if you have prior experience with front and rear dashcam installations, the process should be quite familiar. As someone who has installed both front and rear cameras before, I can attest that the installation process is relatively straightforward.

One notable feature of the Rexing V1P is its USB mini input, which allows for connectivity to a computer. However, it's worth noting that with my other dashcam units, we've never had to remove the whole unit to plug into a computer, so this may be an unusual requirement for some users. Nevertheless, if you plan on connecting your dashcam to a PC, keeping the USB input in mind will ensure that you have a USB mini cable handy.

Another interesting feature of the V1P is its use of mini USB cables and inputs. While this may not be a significant issue for most users, it's worth noting that many devices are now using USB-C ports instead. Despite this, Rexing has included everything needed in the box, including plenty of excess cable length.

In my installation experience with the V1P, I found that the rear camera cable had several feet of extra length, making it easy to run without worrying about any issues.

The Rexing V33 3-channel dashcam also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to connect their phone and download videos through an app. This feature is particularly useful for monitoring what's happening inside the vehicle in case of an emergency or incident.
